Christian Bale Visits Aurora, Colorado Shooting Victims!
As most of us might know, a gunman walked into a theater full of people watching "The Dark Night Rises" and killed a total of 12 people. The 24 year old man, James Holmes, is now being put on trial after injuring 58 people.
Soon after the shooting, many social networking sites went crazy, trying to convince Bale to visit the hospitals. On FaceBook, many users were putting up posts and photos encouraging Bale to visit the hospital dressed as Batman, on twitter, there was the hastag #BaleOutAurora, and petitions were even posted on Change.Org,
Earlier today (July 24, 2012) at 2PM, Christian Bale was seen visiting the victims at Medical Center of Aurora, spending two and a half hours talking to patients.
He recently released a statement saying, "“Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”
Other stars have also commented on the tragedy, including Anne Hathaway who said, “My heart aches and breaks for the lives taken and altered by this unfathomably senseless act.”
